The Salon Secret Professionals Want to Keep A Secret
BzzAgent is awesome! I was so happy to get into this campaign for eSalon
Okay, I color my hair. I am 44 and I look older when my hair shows gray. Most of my gray is in front and on top. I have been 'home coloring' for about 10 years now. I have tried probably every in-store brand of box coloring known out there and have been completely satisfied by very few of them. Not only because the color results I achieved were so far off from what I either expected or what the brand promised, but for the quick fades on what was supposedly called permanent color and the cost of doing it every three to 4 months.
Professional coloring on the other hand, is a route I tried once or twice in the case of super special occasions and of course is even more expensive than attempting it yourself. I think for the $500.00 I spent in professional salons I should have taken a weekend away and had some serious fun.
So, when BzzAgent sent me the invite for this campaign, I could not refuse it because I just figured how much worse can this be than everything else I have done to my hair over the years. So I followed the instructions sent by them on how to place an order at eSalon.com and waited to see the results once I got my kit.
The whole process went very smoothly from answering the questions to come up with the color to the actual checkout process of finalizing the order to be sent to me. There was even a place to note comments about what you wanted out of your color, similar to what you might actually say to a professional colorist. This was a definite plus for me.
The kit arrived and I went through it thoroughly along with reading and re-reading the personalized instructions that arrived with the color and tools and after-care products I purchased with the kit. Then the next day I decided to jump in with both feet and just do it. My friend came over to help me so I couldn't mess it up. We laughed for a few minutes about my fear of doing this after all the times I self-colored. She read the instructions and said other than a few minor differences the directions were just similar to all the boxed products with one exception - the shine step.
She went through the process - and I kept my eyes closed until she was done. She styled and blew dry my hair and I was completely amazed at the results. It was exactly what I wanted for this time of the year and I could not believe the softness and sheen my hair had when we were done. I could actually touch my hair and not feel like it was too dry or rough after the process.
eSalon...I would definitely do this again!!!
